Hello – Welcome to Ideal Weight MD

As a double board-certified physician in Obesity Medicine and Pediatrics with 25 years of experience, I am privileged to guide you through this transformative journey to optimal health.

I am deeply committed to helping you find your “Ideal Weight”—the weight where you feel your best, fit into your favorite clothes, have the energy to play with your kids, endure a long day at work, ride a bike, hike the trails, and even jump on a trampoline! My goal is for you to feel revitalized!

You see, I faced personal struggles with my weight too! In my 40s, I started to gain weight at a significant rate. Despite trying everything from exercising more, to cutting back on calories, to trying various diets, nothing seemed to really work. I lacked energy, slept poorly, and had constant body aches. Even my mood took a dive. It felt like I was fighting an uphill battle against my own body.

After going through countless doctors and not finding the help I needed with traditional methods, I took a significant step. I went back to school and shifted my clinical focus by becoming Board-Certified in Obesity Medicine. This extra training was enlightening – my weight issues weren’t a result of lack of willpower but were due to other factors like genetic predispositions and hormonal imbalances. It was a game changer in how I viewed my health and how I practiced medicine moving forward.

We now understand obesity as a medical condition and its treatment has been revolutionized thanks to GLP-1 medications. These medications not only help with weight but also reduce the risk of diabetes, improve cardiovascular health, stabilize mood, decrease inflammation, and even lower the risk of Alzheimer’s.

Motivated by my personal breakthrough of losing weight with GLP-1’s, and the incredible health improvements I experienced, I founded Ideal Weight MD. – a concierge practice that gives me the platform to pay forward and offer these life- changing services.
